I’m a berlin-based cinematographer. I love to shoot fictional films, documentaries, commercials, fashion films and music videos.

Rooted in the landscapes of southern Germany, I made the island of Berlin my home in 2009, where I have been active in the film industry for over 13 years. I first earned a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Media from BHT Berlin before continuing my studies in Cinematography at the renowned Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and am now in the final stages of completing my Master’s degree.

In my cinematography, I blend narrative and documentary sensibilities, often embracing a bold, experimental spirit. At the heart of my work lies an honest curiosity about people and the worlds they inhabit, combined with a desire to move viewers emotionally. I want my images to make audiences feel deeply, to experience the stories as vividly as I do. I just love how films can sometimes shake my world – one of the main reasons I chose to be part of making them. In pursuit of this emotional connection, I approach every project with a distinctive visual sensitivity, whether working with celluloid or digital formats.

The films I have shot have been showcased at international festivals and have received numerous awards. Recently, I won the prize for Best Cinematography at both the São Paulo Film Festival for “Forever Yours” and at the Festival for Medium-Length Films for “The Weight of Our Words”. I am currently working on a feature-length documentary for cinema, a documentary series for television, and a fictional short film. In 2024, I shot my narrative feature debut, the science-fiction drama “Epilogue”, which is now in post-production.

In the commercial realm, I have collaborated with companies such as Stink Film, Firmament, and Silkrock, and I have shot music videos for artists including Milky Chance, Yung Hurn, and Fuffifufzich, as well as fashion films for Vogue and others.

Based in Berlin, I work across Europe and internationally, with recent projects in Namibia, Japan, and the United States. I am fluent in German and English and have a basic command of French.

Alongside my cinematography, I have contributed as a colorist on numerous projects and co-founded Altglas, a boutique cine rental company specializing in vintage glass. Together with my rental colleagues, I lead workshops on shooting with vintage lenses in both analogue and digital environments.

Outside of work, I enjoy skateboarding, running, analogue photography, and — of course — watching movies on the big screen.
